Time to address the stock brakes, I had renewed the brakes about a year ago to the ceramic Centric pads from RockAuto and new front and rear rotors. I did not give the system a full flush or replace any other brake items except to clean out the master cylinder and fill it with fresh DOT4 fluid.
After a full track day of 7 ~ ten minute full speed laps at the Nashville SuperSpeedway in October 2016 the fronts are now squeeking on first application so I think I’ve toasted the limits of these pads. The track was set up to allow us to run the front and back straights and divert into chicanes of sweepers, 180’s, etc. to shave off some speed before returning to the straights. It also allowed the smaller, lighter cars to catch up to the higher horsepower Mustangs, 370Z’s, etc. I hit 105mph on the front straight in my pretty much stock car.
